True Facts and Unsolved Mysteries about The Bermuda Triangle or Devil’s Triangle

1. The Bermuda Triangle is a mythical section of the Atlantic Ocean roughly bounded by Miami, Bermuda and Puerto Rico.
2. The enigma of Bermuda triangle is that more aircraft and ships vanish than the other place in the world.
3. Hundreds have disappeared here mysteriously since 1918.
4. Boats and planes have seemingly vanished from the area in good weather without even radioing distress messages.
5. Christopher Columbus reported that a great flame of fire (probably a meteor) crashed into the sea one night. He also wrote about erratic compass readings.
6. 1918: USS Cyclops, collier, left Barbados on March 4, lost with all 309 crew and passengers en route to Baltimore, Maryland.
7. In 1941 two of the Cyclops’ sister ships similarly vanished without a trace along nearly the same route.
8. The most famous loss in the triangle is known as the mystery of Flight 19, and happened on 5th December 1945.
9. 1945: December 5, Flight 19 (five TBF Avengers) lost with 14 airmen, and later the same day PBM Mariner BuNo 59225 lost with 13 airmen while searching for Flight 19.
10. The area is one of the most heavily traveled shipping lanes in the world.
11. Some theories state that visiting UFO craft enter an underwater base in the Bermuda area, and they have been the cause of the disappearances.
12. Other fantastical ideas such as technologies from Atlantis or evil marine creatures have also been considered.
13. Some people even suggest the triangle is the site of a gateway into another dimension.
14. Whereas more scientifically minded theorists have pointed to magnetic anomalies, waterspouts or huge eruptions of methane gas from the ocean floor.
15. However, there is no single theory that solves the mystery.
