NASA’s Faked Moon Landings 1969 – 1972

Although NASA wished to fulfil President Kennedy’s 1961 goal of landing a man on the moon by 1970 and return him safely to the earth, technological hurdles and the scientific discovery of the van Allen Radiation Belts prevented biological life forms from travelling more than 1000 km above earth’s surface. (The moon is 384,000 Km away) Hence although the astronauts were all dressed up and ready to go, the celluloid masters of Hollywood were assigned the task of creating the illusion that America had beaten the Russians to the moon.

Unfortunately NASA attempted to fool the world and save face by faking the Apollo Moon Landings by means of Hollywood hucksterism.

The First Landing Movie in the series, Apollo – legs- 11 , went to air in America on prime time Sunday evening TV a time when ratings would be highest. During the eight day mission the Command and Lunar modules orbited Earth one hundred and twenty three times before re-entering the atmosphere and falling back to Earth. The prerecorded film footage of walking on the moon was televised globally and everyone was fooled into believing that the astronauts were on the moon.

NASA recreated exact replicas, crater for crater of the lunar surface at Flagstaff in Arizona and in other States of the Union. The astronauts practised in the man made simulated lunarscapes. These exercises where filmed and the footage was then presented to the unsuspecting public as the “real thing”.
