famous psychic mediums: Are they real ?

We see them on TV and see their books in stores, the famous psychic mediums are all over the place helping people. I often wonder if they really have powers or if they are just good at observation. I really think what they have is an observational talent and they are good at tying the pieces together. They seem to have this wonderful intuitive ability that is more in the model of how Jung saw intuition and it is under this frame that I think they have their talent and in this sense they are useful to me.

Every time I see a famous psychic mediums they are looking at the person, observing their body language and gesturing. It has to be from here that they come up with their readings. It is a lot of fun to watch and I think that they are mostly cold readers who are using a ton of sensory data to get their information. I think that this is cool and in someways it is very inspiring because we can fit it into science and even study it. It also makes us know that these people aren’t magical or other worldly

As you can see, this article has a different slant on what makes famous psychic mediums special and it is not what most people think. I don’t see them as magical but as people who can take in the environment and put all the pieces together. I bet these same people would make great detectives and teachers. Probably counselors too. I think that we need to get away from the magical aspect and move more towards science and testing so that we can bring this information out of the pseudo-science and into a truly fact based profession that anyone could trust.
