Bible Discussion Based on Harold Camping’s Prophecy

Sharing opinions based on factual information in the bible regarding Harold Camping’s theory of May 21, 2011

There has been ALOT of rumors floating around online and in the news about May 21, 2011 being the END of the World and the rapture. But, if you read in Matthew 24 you’ll simply see that that is not the case. I highlighted some of the important parts in this chapter that should make you realize that the world is NOT coming to an end on May 21, 2011. The prediction was made by Harold Camping. Harold also made a prediction that the world would end on September 6, 1994: As you can see that prediction NEVER came true. As you will see 1 of the sections that I highlighted it said that “Watch out that no one deceives you. For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah’ and deceive many. In my opinion this is Harold Camping. He deceived people in 1994 and is deceiving people again. Now you may be wondering because various “Christian” groups are following this notion. 1 thing that I want to bring to your attention is, Just because someone calls themself a “Christian” doesn’t mean that they really are a “Christian”. But, you can tell a true “Christian” by the fruit they bear; “18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit” Matthew 7:18
