The 8th Mayan Prophecy
December 21, 2012 marked the end of the Mayan Long Count Calendar — some believed it also meant the end of the world. However, Nick Jensen, a nerdy but adventurous teenager, soon learns the incredible true story behind the ancient Mayan prophecies.
On his thirteenth birthday he wakes to find his world has changed. He is inexplicably able to see into the near future. And later that same day, when the beautiful new girl from down the street falls through the ice under suspicious circumstances, he is able to change his human form and save her.
Along with the girl, Grace Walker, and his best friend, AJ, they embark on a grand quest in search for the reasons behind Nick’s newfound powers. Their journey takes them from Wisconsin to the ancient Mayan World and the Sacred World Tree — the gateway that leads them to Minoan Crete and the First Civilization — a race of giants who roamed the world spreading their advanced technology to distant lands, including Scandinavia, China, the Mediterranean and Mesoamerica.
The teenagers soon learn that seven Mayan prophecies have already come to pass. But there is a newly discovered 8th Mayan prophecy they uncover and quickly realize they need to decipher it before it leads to their death.
The World Council and its ruthless leader, the Tepal, who has religiously studied these same Mayan prophecies for decades, have been eagerly waiting December 21, 2012 so the prophecy can begin to unfold.
The Tepal, who believes he alone has unlocked the secret of the newfound prophecy, has sent his sinister henchman to shadow Nick to determine if he is indeed the one spoken of in The 8th Mayan Prophecy.
