NASA captures star explosion
GREENBELT, Md. (WKRC) — NASA is releasing some amazing time lapse video.
Its Hubble Telescope captured images of an exploding star over a four year period.
It is from a star called V-838 Monocerotis. It’s 20,000 light years away from Earth. It was the brightest star in the Milky Way.
Now it has morphed into what is known as a cool supergiant.
