The Meadows House – A Door to The Other World
The Beginning of the Legend…
Dr A. Meadows mental health facility, also known as Meadows house, was located in grand junction, Colorado, and it was owned by Dr. Avery Meadows. Dr.Avery Meadows used the house as his treatment facility. It is said that the doctor used to lobotomize his patients who visited him to treat their mental health issues. Additionally, the doctor experimented with different things upon them in that house.
Eventually, Meadows was arrested, convicted, and executed for his crimes. After Meadows’ death, the house turned into an abundant one, and gradually it became kind of an urban legend alongside Meadows.
The Transformation…
Gradually, people started to consider the house haunted. The locals began saying that the doctor’s ghost still resides there in the house. Besides, the ghosts of those whom Meadows victimized are also trapped in the house itself. Those spirits couldn’t move on, and they were experiencing the agony of being trapped between two different worlds.
Digging Deeper
People’s curiosity kept on increasing, and a few dare souls decided to reveal the mystery of Meadows house. In 2017, two friends, Evan and Shawn Raider, invaded the house. The teenagers did something daredevil! They stole one of the plague masks of the doctor to use as evidence of their stay in the house.
The result was, however, unimaginably fearful. The doctor’s spirit killed Evan, and Shawn was absolutely traumatized. Somehow, Shawn escaped with the stolen mask of the doctor. Shawn’s story went viral, and the event of this spirited attack caught the attention of hunter Dean Winchester and Sam.
They started researching the legends surrounding the Meadows house. In the meantime, Meadows’s spirit possessed Shawn, and he was forced to return to the house. However, he never came back. With the other victims of Meadows, Shawn’s spirit also became trapped in the house forever.

After knowing about the disappearance of Shawn, the Winchesters decided to visit the house. They ran a test with an EMF meter and confirmed that the house was 100% haunted. Winchesters felt that burning the plague mask may end the story of terror as it would destroy the doctor’s ghost.
Thus, he battled with the devil spirit of the doctor and managed to burn the said plague mask. However, the ghosts of the victims were still locked in the house, making it haunted. What’s more pathetic is, under the attack by the victim spirits, Dean committed suicide so that he could know where the bodies of those spirits were hidden.
He got to know about the place where the doctor used to hide the victims’ bodies. When Sam involved himself in a trial to revive Dean, Billie visited him. Here it’s worth mentioning that Billie is a new Death!
Freeing Up…
In exchange for Dean mentioning about the route to the Apocalypse World from the main universe, Billie heard the reaper Jesica help one of the spirits in the house move on. After the resurrection of Dean by Billie, the Winchesters informed the authorities about the bodies in the house. The police recovered all of the bodies from the house and handed them over to the victims’ families.
The story of Meadows house and the operation conducted by Winchester was broadcasted on a famous ghost hunting show, and it left the world shocked and threatened. Thanks to the courageous ghost hunters who freed up the house from the cursed possession of the devil spirit of Meadows and the ghosts of his victims.
