presents: Mythical Creatures – Part I

Tales of mythical or legendary creatures have traveled through generations in folklore and stories of encounters. Some creatures are hybrids of 2 or more animals and some are said to be real(but there is a lack of evidence to support this theory).

Loch Ness Monster – The Loch Ness Monster is said to be a large aquatic animal which looks like a plesiosaur like reptile, reportedly seen in the waters of Lochness, Scotland.
Reports of the mysterious creature date back to the 6th century.

Mongolian Deathworm – The Mongolian Death Worm is said to exist in the Gobi Desert. It supposedly looks like a bright red worm with a wide body.

Mermaid – The mermaid is a legendary aquatic creature of the sea with the head and torso of human female and the tail of a fish. In some cultures the Mermaid was considered to be a sea Goddess and the earliest of mermaid stories comes from Assyria around 1000 BCE.

Sea Serpent – Sea serpents are a kind of sea monster either fully or partly serpentine. The sightings of these creatures go back for hundreds of year. Although these creates have been sighted on a number of occasions, there is no physical evidence available to prove that these serpents actually exist.
