In this video, David Hoffmeister talks about Who We Are Is the Meaning. David is a living demonstration of the deep teachings of non-dual/A Course in Miracles. For those who feel a deep call for Awakening, David Hoffmeister is pure inspiration! ACIM is a pointer to the non-dual awareness. Enjoy!

Screen savers are deigned to be soothing and pleasant to the eye. You can look at the screen saver but you can’t live inside it. Every problem you experience is rooted in the belief that you are inside the screen saver. Buddha and Jesus have told us about nirvana and the kingdom of heaven, and the heavenly state has nothing to do with this world. This world is a veil of distractions.

You try to control people and things in the world. If you follow the steps of the Spirit, you will see that there’s no control over this world. The ego made up all personal responsibilities as a defense against the truth. All of the responsibilities of this world are about maintaining yourself as a functioning human being.

Who we are is the meaning. Jesus says: You are the goal the world is searching for, and that means that our true identity is the goal the whole world is searching for.

If you can pray, listen and follow, everything in your awakening will be given you effortlessly and involuntarily. This is where your spiritual journey is heading. When you truly let go and Let God, you are letting go of all thoughts of this world. All the thoughts that seem so practical and important are shown by the Spirit to be absolutely nothing.

Editor’s Note: I love the analogy David shares here, that the world is a screensaver of distractions obscuring the love and light of our True Self. The ego is imbedded in the screen and tries to tell us who we are, what we are and where we are in the world. Only in recognizing that we have no control over the screen is our True Identity revealed!
