Hayley Griffin, Diana Princess of Wales, The Day That The Light Went Out.

Hayley Griffin reads “The Day That The L:ight Went Out”, written by Richard Phipps a few days after the death of Diana, Princess of Wales. Eighteen year old Hayley Griffin reads this poem written by Richard Phipps who won the Nottingham Evening Post 1998 Poet of the Year Award. Taken from the Michael Parkinson film, “Then and Now” which was made in 1992. Hayley, at that time, was a pupil at Nottingham Girls’ HIgh School. After attending Imperial College, London, Hayley is now a Doctor working in a hospital. Michael Parkinson Jan 2014
