Chuck D 18 Reasons why 2Pac is not Dead 2015

Chuck D speaks on the “18 Compelling Reasons Why 2Pac is Not Dead”, which was originally published on Davey D’s online Hip Hop Column

Asher Underwood of Truth About Tupac Movement gets the opportunity to speak with Chuck D following his appearance at “All Eyez on Me: The Writings of Tupac Shakur” opening of the Grammy Museum exhibit on February 2, 2015 downtown Los Angeles.

Mister Chuck not only denounces the “18 Compelling Reasons” but reminds us that he denounced them 3 weeks after 2Pac’s death, after coming to South Central LA and speaking to people close to the situation.

In addition to speaking on this subject, Chuck also talks about how brave Tupac was to come out with songs referencing his mother such as “Dear Momma” and child pregnancy like in “Brenda’s Got a Baby” and “Keep ya Head Up.”

Chuck brings a great perspective of Balance when referring to Pac as an “Artist” and gives a great analogy for how we should interpret his “Artistry”. Specifically, “Take what is good and let go of the bad because it won’t help you.” This is very powerful and directly connects us to the Positivity of Tupac as a person and not to get hung up on the negative elements of his life or the mistakes he made, which we all make mistakes as humans. The Black Panthers and the breakfast/ lunch program is also referenced in this discussion and is a much watch for anyone who still believes that “Tupac is a Alive” and/ or for those who would like to understand the endless cycle “Conspiracy” that floats from the internet with no “End point.”
