Are Christian Parents Worse Than Atheist Parents?
Christian parents base their lives around a book that is both positive in ways and very negative in others. Many parts of the Bible tell you definitively (not expressed as an opinion) what is and isn’t ok… when this book conflicts with how their kids turn out, a lot of times parents pick their invisible friend over their own blood, which is insane…
There is actually a story in the Bible where a man choses God over his own child, and is even willing to kill his own child because God simply said so. He wound up not killing his child because it was actually just a test of faith and God called it off, but that kind of demonstrates how dedicated some parents are to all powerful magical guy in the heavens over people in the physical world… so how can these types of people be better fit to be parents than people who have no book prejudging their children?
Exactly.
Atheist parents live in the real world, what they know is what they known, beliefs don’t often exist in the minds of atheists because they base their lives on evidence, beliefs and evidence aren’t exactly bros. Knowledge and evidence however are.
So which parent would you rather have? One that lives by invisible giant magic guy, or one that lives by science? I pick sanity.
