13th anniversary of ‘Phoenix Lights’ – Phoenix Arizona news

PHOENIX –The 13th anniversary of the sighting of the “Phoenix Lights,” and people around the globe continue to look for answers.

The lights, described in many ways, were seen just after 8 p.m. on March 13, 1997.

Some people reported seeing a triangular formation pass over their homes. Others saw a series of stationary lights in a long line.

The United States Air Force later identified the lights as flares from the Barry Goldwater Range, but many continue to believe differently.

The lights had a life-altering affect on one Valley woman.

Dr. Lynne Kitei watched the lights that night but it took several years for her to speak out about what she saw.

Kitei has written a book and produced an award-winning documentary about the lights, but her search for answers has never stopped.

“I didn’t really know what I saw and decided I had to investigate, even today I’m still investigating,” said Kitei.

Do you believe the “Phoenix Lights” can be explained by something other than flares?
