Jimmy Carter UFO Incident
UFO incidents can be very popular, and it can be especially popular when it involved a US President. Did you know that President Jimmy Carter has a UFO sighting incident himself? He reported to have seen a UFO, one evening in 1969. He was set to give a speech. One guest called him and showed him the strange object about 30 degrees from the horizon. Carter later described the strange object as bright white or even bright as a moon. The UFO then changed its color from white to blue and to red, then back to its original color before receding again into the distance.
Carter’s report also stated that there are about ten to twelve people who saw the unknown object, which lasted there for about 12 minutes before pulling back and out of sight.
Seven years after the incident, in 1976, an investigation on this UFO sighting took place. However, most of the people who have reportedly seen it with Carter cannot recall it or did not see it as anything important. The only guest who can remember seeing the unidentified object was Fred Hart, who described it as some kind of weather balloon, like a blue light.
Carter was also puzzled and amazed by the object and where it came from, and later stated that he had considered it to be a UFO, but he had not allowed himself to believe that what he was witnessing was an alien spacecraft.
On that day, January 6, 1969, the sky in Leary was clear and Venus was almost on its maximum brightness and also located at the direction where Carter described the craft was. According to Robert Sheaffer, a UFOlogist, what Carter had experienced is a highly possible misidentification of the planet Venus. What do you think?
