Harold Camping confesses his predictions as sinful

This is admirable. It is not often you hear a candid confession like this. However, as one leaning preteristic myself I thought I would use this as an opportunity to comment on another Biblical reason why Camping was wrong in addition to Matthew 24:36. Like maybe the false Christ’s Jesus predicted that would come claiming the time was near in Luke 21:8 when the time was not near. But then this creates an even worse problem than Camping because in the later writings of the New Testament especially in Revelation we see John himself writing that the time is at hand and many today claim those events did not happen during John’s lifetime. What makes John any different than Harold Camping or any different than these these false messiah’s that Jesus speaks of here in Luke 21 only in that he was not claiming to be the messiah. Maybe just maybe John was right and the Camping’s of our world are wrong as many deny the clear timing statements given by most of our apostles and Jesus in the New Testament. Jesus said just two verses before Matthew 24:36 in 34 that “this generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled” and his words are repeated in Mark and Luke. And you add to that the contrast in timing statements between Daniel and John and then ask yourself how the apostles understood the events as being either far off like the angel told Daniel they were in Daniel’s day or do the apostles follow an understanding that these events were indeed for their generation and soon to happen? For more on that please do watch the first 3 videos in this playlist that I hope you will find Biblically persuasive when it comes to the timing of these events. God bless you and yours…
