Debunked: Un-Debunkable Moon Hoax Proof – Moon Atmosphere
Mythbusters Uncut: Lunar Lunacy
Kari tries to replicate the NASA footage of a feather and a hammer dropping — and landing — at the same time.
Conspiracy theorists believe that the movement of the flag on the Moon was due to air blowing against it, implying that the footage was not taken on the Moon, as it does not have an atmosphere. This however, is not correct, as shown on Mythbusters. The movement is due mainly to the kinetic and potential energy imposed upon the flag through handling by the astronauts.
This video shows that there could not have been any air where the Apollo missions were filmed, by conducting the Hammer and Feather experiment, using a simulated vacuum.
And thus, the footage could have only been taken on the Moon, where there is no air. It could not have been filmed on the Earth, as that would require an impossibly large vacuum chamber. And this would at the same time negate any possibility of air being present to move the flag.
